Now that you understand the Enrollment Process and what is needed from you to begin, let's take a closer look at the Debt Settlment Process.
Once a client agree's (in contract) to a fixed monthly payment program, and the program duration is established. A fixed monthly payment is withdrawn each month from you (the clients) checking or saving account. Please Note: A client will not be penalized for changing the payment amount, of course the program duration may be elongated or shortened (depending on the changes).
This payment is sent directly to a Settlement Account, in their name. (All monthly statements are sent to the client each month, as this is their account).
As the client continues to pay each month as stated per contract, they allow their Settlement Account to accumulate funds towards the settlement of their debts.
Once the client saves 42% of the first debt (we settle from the lowest balance, to the highest). The creditor is contacted and the negotiation process begins.
All settlement offers are brought to you (the client) to either accept, or decline.
All debts are settled one by one, until you (the client's) credit report shows all debts entered into the program as, "Debt Settled in Full". A zero balance will appear, showing it was handled 1st person, without 3rd party involvement (which is good for your credit). Unlike credit counseling, or bankruptcy which would reveal third party aid.
Throughout the debt settlement process, you (the client) will have access to a consumer advocacy group that will help to control and eliminate harassment from creditors throughout the debt settlement program.
